Donald Howard Ulrich passed away peacefully on Monday, February 22, 2021 at St. Joseph’s Home at the age of 75 years, beloved husband of Joyce Ulrich of Medicine Hat. He was predeceased by his parents, one bother Robert in infancy, three sisters, Irene (Ray) Lippert, Violet (Walter) Hoffman and Beatrice Cullen as well as two brothers-in-law Arthur Fischer and Larry Johnson. Donald was born on December 7, 1945 to Emil and Lila Ulrich and grew up on the family farm near Schuler. In 1969, he settled in Edmonton working for Central Western Airfreight at Edmonton’s Municipal Airport. In May of 1970 Don and Joyce were married. In January of 1972, Ryan was born. Don was to live there for 48 years - just moving to Medicine Hat in August of 2020. He was pleased to receive the Alberta Century Farm Award in 2013.
