In memory of
Rita Rose Sehn
August 29, 1951 - October 11, 2019 - Age 68

Garry Valentine Sehn (71) and Rita Rose Sehn (68), our beloved parents, both from Medicine Hat, passed away suddenly on October 11th, 2019. Garry and Rita were predeceased by Garry's parents, Exi & Elizabeth (Deis) Sehn and by Rita's parents, Joe & Rosa (Steckler) Tuchscherer. They were also predeceased by their cherished daughter, Stephanie Chisholm (Jerimy) as well as Rita's sister, Cathy Harty (Chris) and brother, Donald Tuchscherer (Irene). Garry and Rita are survived by their children, Shauna Moss (Dave) and Chandra Sehn (Brent Carefoot) as well as their grandchildren Carter Moss, Wil Carefoot, and Jacey Carefoot. They are also survived by Garry's siblings, Sr. Dianne Sehn, Yvonne Vickers, Lucille Slade, and Joanne (Sheldon) Marks as well as Rita's siblings, Marie Bachmeier (Ed) and Michael Tuchscherer (Joanne). Garry was born on June 13, 1948 in Leader, Saskatchewan. He was raised on the family farm near Richmound, which was not to far from the Tuscherer farm at Horsham where Rita was born on August 29, 1951. Garry and Rita both moved to Medicine Hat and then later married in 1971. Garry worked for Western COOP Fertilizer. When the plant closed he began working at Superior Propane as a bulk truck driver until retiring. He thoroughly enjoyed the connections he made with his customers over the many years and miles he drove. Rita worked in the insurance industry for 45 plus years. For the past almost 2 decades she has been with TSG Insurance. She has mentored many brokers in the community including her daughters Shauna and Stephanie. The team at TSG was like a second family to her, she held them very near and dear to her heart. Both Rita and Garry were dedicated to their work and passed on their strong work ethics, perseverance and strength to their children. Garry was an avid sports fan. He was a staple at every Tigers game. He loved fishing, camping, and would never miss coffee with the guys. Rita loved to travel, especially with her grandchildren. She made a point of taking each one of them to Mexico when they were 3. She lived her life to the fullest, and never missed an opportunity to spend time with her children and friends. She was truly a remarkable woman. The greatest joy in both of their lives were their three grandchildren, nothing made them happier. Grandma and Papa were truly the best. They will be very missed. Family and friends will gather for prayers in the Holy Family Parish on Sunday evening at 7:30 p.m. The funeral mass will be held in the Holy Family Parish (1451 Strachan Road S.E.) on Monday, October 21, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. with Father Iqbal Khurshid and Father Tomy Manjaly officiating. Message from Caroline and Eric Elle October 17, 2019

We will fondly remember our visits, when our babies were little and we enjoyed good conversation and a glass or two of Royal Reserve together. We always had a good laugh with Garry and oh my Rita rocked eye liner like no one else! We will miss them.

Message from Susan Flanagan and Family October 21, 2019

Your parents were so special. When I would glide by your dad heading up to receive Communion, I would gently touch his hand. When he went to St. Pat's, he was always in the isle seat. My touch would be met with a big smile. Lean on Faith. May God comfort and guide you through this most difficult time.

I am truly sorry about Garry and Rita. Rita was my insurance lady as well as I spent a lot of time with them 20 years ago when I dated Greg Penner. I think I met you girls back then too. They really were wonderful people. I will really miss Rita. My sympathy to their whole family. I'm sorry I was not able to attend the funeral this morning so I wanted to pass on my sympathy.
