Message from Leann (Pratt) Mercer October 16, 2019

I am so sad to hear of Kirk's passing and wish I could be there today. I have not made it back to Alberta too often in the last decade and so my time with Kirk has been less and less over the years. Kirk and I became good friends in grade 9 and I always enjoyed spending time with him and seeing how he looked at the world. Kirk was able to make everything funny and was a ray of light. Everyone enjoyed being around him. Years ago he had so much fun teasing my husband at our ten year reunion that it did make me less angry! Sometimes I take things too seriously and Kirk could always help me see that. He just had a way. Kirk was a great guy and he was blessed with a wonderful family who he always stayed close to. My deepest sympathy to the Johnson family as they remember their wonderful son/brother today and always. May the many happy memories bring you some comfort in the years ahead. The world was a better place when Kirk was in it.
