Leona Job (nee: Wirachowsky) was born on April 19th 1934 in Leipzig, Saskatchewan. In 1953, Leona moved to Medicine Hat and worked at the Dominion Glass factory for 10 years, where she met a young man named Bud Job. Leona and Bud were married on April 30, 1962, soon after their family began with Sandra followed by Jerome and then Bonnie. There were was a move to Edmonton during the early years but eventually they returned to Medicine Hat. In 1974, Leona took a job at McBride’s Bakery; it was here that opportunity and skill came together to create something special. Leona was a fantastic cook and baker, those of us that were lucky enough to have her make our favorite meal or goodies will not soon forget the love she put into everything she touched. Leona’s true joy was her grandchildren, she made sure that each and every one of them received as much Grandma love as possible (and treats). Leona’s generosity extended well beyond her family and friends, she spent many years volunteering for her Church, the CWL, Blood Bank, St Joseph’s, as well as numerous other organizations. Those who wish to pay their respects may do so at the PATTISON FUNERAL HOME on Monday from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Family and friends will gather for prayers in the PATTISON CHAPEL on Monday evening at 7:00 p.m. The funeral mass will be celebrated in Holy Family Parish (1451 Strachan Road SE) on Tuesday, October 8, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. with Fr.
