Margaret Mastel of Medicine Hat passed away on Wednesday, August 7, 2019, at the age of 93 years, beloved wife of the late Kilian Mastel. She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Dolores (Wilfred) Hoffart, Donald (Linda) Mastel, Garry Mastel (Louise Westland) all of Medicine Hat, Stanley (Patricia) Mastel of Coaldale and Kelly (Karen) Mastel of Medicine Hat; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-seven great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren; two sisters, Katie Bachmeier and Josephine Volk both of Maple Creek; three sisters-in-law, Magdalena Eresman, Clara Eresman and Katie Mastel all of Medicine Hat as well as numerous nieces and nephews and their families. She was predeceased by her parents, Magdalena and Clements Eresman; her husband Kilian on October 19, 1994; three brothers, John (Rose) Eresman, Nick Eresman and Ferdinand Eresman; two sisters, Mary (George) Schneider, Pauline (John) Volk and two brothers-in-law, John Bachmeier and Joseph Volk. Those who wish to pay their respects may do so at the PATTISON FUNERAL HOME on Sunday evening from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. and at the church on Monday from 9:30 to 10:25 a.m. Family and friends will gather for prayers in the PATTISON CHAPEL on Sunday at 7:00 p.m. The funeral mass will be celebrated in St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church (238 2nd Ave N.E.) on Monday, August 12, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. with Fr.
