I’m so sorry to hear of Hertha’s passing. I was young, but remember like it was yesterday when Elmer used to come out to help us harvest. I loved it, even though I had to give up my bed. I can still hear his voice. They also used to come to mine and my sisters birthday supper every February. For years I sent your parents a Christmas card and your dad would phone me at Christmas in return. When he passed away, Hertha kept up with the Christmas phone call. Hard to believe that has come to an end. I have so many memories. Your parents lived long, good lives, but I know it still hurts.

To Sherwin, Sheryl, Lorne, Lana and all family,
I just found out tonight that Aunt Hertha passed away. I am so very sorry. I so enjoyed our visit in September, when she talked about maybe making her garden 'a little bit smaller!' and her plans for her 100 birthday party! My thoughts are with all of you. Sincerely, Mavis
