I was one of the very fortunate ones to enjoy Johanna's bread and buns, which she generously shared at the Diagnostic Lab coffee parties. She was an energetic, hard worker, and always shared a smile and words of encouragement. My deepest sympathies to the family.

I had the honour of caring for Johanna at River Ridge. She was a real gem. Always happy. I knew she must have loved the outdoors because she was always wanting to go for a walk. One day, against the “rules”, I took Johanna and a couple of other ladies for a walk around the facility. I of course got into trouble for doing that little gesture, but I didn’t care. It made all of them so happy and that’s all that mattered to me. After that, she would come to me asking if we could go for a walk again, so of course, I would sneak her out for a bit. Thank you to her family for sharing her with us for a brief time. My deepest and heartfelt condolences.

My memories of Johanna were and are of a wonderful lady who always was ready to help others! She volunteered in our church office and helped me count money on Mondays for many years. She was a joy to be around. May God take you in his arms and keep you close to his heart! My condolence to the whole family!!!
