The funeral mass, by invitation only, will be celebrated in Holy Family Parish (1451 Strachan Road S.E.) on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. with Fr. Rodel Abanto Celebrant. Due to the restrictions brought forward by the Chief Medical Officer of Health, indoor public gatherings are to be kept to 50 people. Masks are mandatory. The funeral mass will be live streamed for family and friends who are unable to attend. Peter Paul Bonogofsky of Medicine Hat, passed away on Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at the age of 92 years. Pete was born at Prelate, Saskatchewan the ninth child born to Dorothy and Isidor Bonogofski. He started his CPR career in 1949, working as an operator agent in many locations in Saskatchewan and Alberta. He retired from this position in Maple Creek in 1984. He leaves to cherish his memory one brother Gregory Bonogofsky; three sisters, Sally Wagner, Frances Wagner and Liz Sannes; sisters-in-law, Anne Bonogofski and Marj Bonogofsky; brother-in-law Tony Heck and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Dorothy and Isidor Bonogofski; his siblings: Barbara; Christina; Anne (Pete) Hagel; Ole (Betty) and their children Charles, Ken and Eileen; Zack and his son, Lesley; Joe; Tony; Mary (Mike) Guckert and their son Richard; Isidore (Shirley); and Agnes Heck; his brothers-in-law, Frank Wagner and his daughter, Marlene, Rem Wagner, and Don Sannes. Pete’s family would like to thank Jim Thares, who lost his soulmate, Marlene, on April 9, 2021, but continued to be available whenever Pete needed help. It was very much appreciated. I will miss your smile at church (always sitting at the back) and you always asking how school was going. I remember you enjoying your bowling, breakfasts at A&W and your laugh! My heart goes out to my Grandma Liz and her siblings. Uncle Pete will be missed. It is hard to believe that he is gone.
