Clayton Wenzel
July 22, 1978 - May 12, 2021 - Age 42

Clayton Norman Wenzel passed away peacefully on May 12, 2021 at the age of 42 years, after battling a debilitating illness. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of over 10 years, Anna Wenzel. They met in 2005 and were inseparable from then on. He also leaves to cherish his memory, his daughter, Elizabeth “Beth”; his mother, Diana Wenzel; four brothers, Dean (Marg), David, Troy (Robyn) and Kurt ; two sisters, Carol (Steve), Sandy (Harv); as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Clayton will also be fondly remembered by many friends, business associates and his Masonic Brothers with whom he attended lodge. Clayton was a third degree Mason and Past Master. He owned A Plus Equipment Rentals Ltd. with his Dad and other business partners. He ran the company for many years with pride and was known for his sharp business skills and keen intellect. Anyone who knew Clayton knew of his great love of The Philadelphia Eagles. He believed in them no matter what kind of season they were having. Clayton played football, and was Captain for Crescent Height High School. He graduated from there in 1996 and then went on to College to complete his Business diploma. He played pool on both Cash and Vegas Leagues where he won many trips to Las Vegas to play in tournaments. Clayton loved golf and was able to pass that down to his daughter Beth. He started taking her to Paradise Valley as a preschooler and got her into lessons. He saw her natural talent for the game and nurtured it. Finally, everyone knew what a champ he was at musical trivia. He is a legend in this city and was almost impossible to defeat. Clayton was predeceased by his father Harold Wenzel in 2006. He suffered the loss of many close friends through out the years. These heavy loses were felt deeply by him. My sincere apologies to Clayton's family. I am lucky enough to have so many memories as a teenager hanging out with Clayton and the gang; most of which have left this world too soon unfortunately- Jay, Dave, Blaine, Matt. As life moved on we lost touch but it was so cool to see Clayton and Anna were married down the road as i knew her too growing up. I remember Clayton to be the type who always had your back so I'm sure he will continue to do the same for his family from above. Thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.

We are so sorry to hear of Clayton's passing. Clayton was so much a part of our lives as we watched him grow up with our Matthew. They were such close friends and the most adorable pair of little troublemakers you could ask for. Clayton grew up to be such a kind and caring man and was so successful in his business and community ventures. We share your grief and know how much he will be missed. Our family sends our love and prayers to Diana, Anna, Beth, and all the family.

A beautiful service for a beautiful soul! I was blessed to know you since the beginning of time, Clayton. You grew from being an annoying second “little brother”, you and Matty terrorizing our house and the 7th Street neighbourhood with your joyous and infuriating shenanigans, into a compassionate and fiercely loving father, husband and gentleman. This world is dimmer without you in it. I guess I will forgive you for trying to kill me with way too hot hot wings and for kicking my ass at pool. I love you brother and I know Matty will elbow you in the ribs and give you big a hug from me.

Michael and I and our family send our deepest condolences and so much love to your family. Anna and Beth, Diane....you are in our hearts and will always be a part of our family.

Love,
Jaime, Michael, Ari and Cleo Taylor

Please accept condolences from our family to yours. I had the pleasure of meeting Clayton while coaching football with the CHHS Vikings back in the 1990's. He was a tenacious player with a lot of heart. He was a leader, intelligent and strong. I'm sorry to hear of his passing. Clayton will be missed. Rest in Peace
