Jim, when I was a young soldier you taught me what the standard was in being a good soldier. I remember in Cyprus when my care package came from home, we knew that the Tim Hortons coffee was in that box, we had the best coffee in Ledra Palace. You helped move my career forward, which was always appreciated, you complimented me on my swagger while marching. You lead by example, and I followed, maybe in some ways you were my beacon and support for a young soldier like me and others. Our memories will live on forever, my memories of you are forever, the lessons you taught me are forever, GOD BLESS YOU REGIMENTAL SERGEANT MAJOR AND PRO PATRIA. you are missed. Our condolences to Norma and Family.

My sincere condolences to Norma and all of Jim's family. I was fortunate enough to serve with Jim in 1st Battalion at London and in Cyprus and knew him to be that classically firm, fair and friendly RSM. He and Norris Pettis were a fine "Command Team" and the pleasure to serve with Jim was all mine. May the passage of time diminish the grief you currently feel.
