Received from Allan & Rae McLeod, Medicine Hat

So sad to hear of Ben's passing. Since our time as roommates at 'Depot' we haven't visited often, but when we did Ben's gun collection histories, and everything else about southwest Sask, came through with clarity and colour. A man to be truly missed and our sympathies are with you Effie & family. Sincerely,

Effie, Ray and family,

So sorry to hear of Ben’s passing. He was an old school Mountie who made us laugh with his many stories and antics. As our coroner, respected retired member, show and tell archeologist happy to display his wares and genuine friend, we had a lot of overlap with him. He was always a welcomed presence with the members at Maple Creek Detachment. He was a card and laughter followed him wherever he went. Thank you for your service Ben. Rest easy! Passing along our thoughts, prayers and sincere condolences.

Effie and family. You are all in our thoughts and prayers. So many memories from the days in Pelly to the visits in Maple Creek to talk about Guns and trains. Judy's Dad, Doug Minor and Ben spent hours talking about the WInchesters and the 'old days'. Ben always had a smile and a story and for those memories we are truly thankful. Rest in peace Ben.
