December 14, 1932 - March 19, 2021 - Age 88

Beatrice Lillian Jenson of Medicine Hat passed away on Friday, March 19, 2021 at the age of 88 years, beloved wife of the late Vernon Jenson. She leaves to cherish her memory two brothers-in-law, John Stober and Donald Jenson as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Olaf and Bernice Christofferson; her husband Vernon on September 2, 2016 and sister Alice Stober. Beatrice was born December 14, 1932 to parents Olaf and Bernice Christofferson. Her mother passed when Beatrice was very young so her grandmother assisted with the raising of Beatrice and her sister. She married Vernon Jenson April 23, 1956. Beatrice began employment with the Royal Bank of Canada in 1961 as a Teller in Stettler, Alberta and progressed through a variety of clerical positions in Lethbridge, Camrose and Medicine Hat. in 1981she was promoted to Manager of Crestwood Branch in Medicine Hat and in 1991 transferred to Carry Drive Plaza in Medicine Hat where she was again Bank Manager. She retired in December, 1992 bringing to a close a career spanning a period of 31 years. Beatrice was very active in her retirement. She served for many years on the Fairview Village Condo Board and as a volunteer planting and caring for flowers and delivering newsletters and notices. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a private graveside service will be held in the Hillside Cemetery with Rev. David Pollard officiating.
