1947 ~ Robert “Bob” James Rolick ~ 2021

Bob Rolick of Lethbridge passed away at the Parkview Meadows Good Samaritan’s Residence in Lethbridge on February 5, 2021 of the age of 73 years. He will be remembered with love by his daughter Dana; brother Bud (Faye) Rolick and niece Bille Jo (Geoff). Bob was predeceased by his parents, Bill Rolick in 1986 and Peggy Rolick in 1999. Bob grew up in Burstall, Saskatchewan and later spent most of his adult life working for Alberta Transportation in Medicine Hat and Lethbridge. He spent most of his winters curling, becoming quite proficient at it and made many friends throughout Saskatchewan and Alberta. But, his main enjoyment was world travel; starting at the age of 18 and ending recently when he had to return from Thailand due to Covid. At Bob’s request, no funeral will be held. A private family interment will take place at a later date in Hillside Cemetery, Medicine Hat. To e-mail an expression of sympathy, please direct it to: subject heading: Bob Rolick.

We have know Bob for over 40 years from the time he came to work for Alberta Transportation where I was also employed. He was a 'big' inspiration to Pat and my world travels, Bali (his favorite at the time) being one of our 1st far away trips. Enjoyed a few of the curling events he organized in Redcliff over the years and seeing him here in the Hat at music events after he moved to Lethbridge.
Bob was a 'great guy!' He will be missed by ALL of us that knew him.
Our heart felt condolences to Dana and his family and friends.

My condolences to Bud and Faye from cold and windy Regina. One of my first memories of Bob was when he was known as barbecuing Bob on CHAT tv and then my exposure to his close friendship with Orville Zubot as he attended many musical events in support. We reacquainted on Facebook in the more recent years.

When I was a little girl, we would travel from Medicine Hat to Burstall, Saskatchewan to visit with my cousins. Bob was the next door neighbour to our Aunty and Uncle Schneider. My cousin, my brother and I spent lots of happy afternoons playing with Bobbie next door. I have so many happy memories of those summer days of childhood. Thanks Bob.

Message from Dennis and Bev Klein February 11, 2021
Our sincere condolences to Dana, Bud, Faye and family. It is with great sadness that we mourn Bobs passing.
We had a long friendship with this flamboyant and dynamic man. We cherish the memories of many music festivals, camp outs and house parties including the sharing of Dennis’s and Bobs birthdays on September 8.
Dennis appreciated Bob accepting a green horn on his curling team which became 10 years of competitive fun and many trophies. Bob truly loved the game. RIP our dear friend

Our condolences to the family of our friend “Bob”.
As part of a close group of friends in the 70’s we spent many good times playing our guitars, singing, and simply hanging out together. Bob gave us our beautiful German Shepherd “Patch” who was his dog’s puppy and we had many wonderful years with her.
We have many memories of this gentle friend. Rest peacefully Bob.
