In memory of
Tyson Schimpf
June 11, 1991 - January 10, 2021 - Age 29

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Tyson Vernon Schimpf on Sunday, January 10, 2021 at the age of 29 years. He leaves to cherish his memory his parents Rachel Abrahamson and Randy Schimpf; his sister Simone (Ryan Harty); his baby niece Claire Harty; his grandmothers, Roxy Schimpf and Delores Abrahamson, his three aunts Kim Fauser, Lynn Schimpf and Lora Sanduliak; his uncle Brent Baker (Danielle) and several cousins. Tyson was predeceased by his grandfather Vern Schimpf.

As a kid, Tyson could often be found with his Dad at the local karate club. His love for martial arts ultimately led Tyson to join the Medicine Hat Boxing Club. He excelled in both of these sports and won numerous awards including his bronze gloves which he received the first time he stepped in the ring at age 12. When he was younger, Tyson also spent time travelling with his Mom and sister and enjoyed a number of camping trips with his grandparents. Tyson loved to make people laugh and throughout high school was known by many as the class clown. His thirst for knowledge and his passion for business stayed with him throughout his life. Tyson enjoyed spending time with his cats, watching UFC and hitting the slopes with his Dad. Tyson had a larger than life personality and a smile and laugh that were infectious and loved by all. Tyson will be missed dearly by his family.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a private funeral service will be held in the PATTISON CHAPELon Friday, January 15, 2021 at 1:30 pm with Rev. Ken Edel officiating. Randy, Rachel, Simone, family & friends, I am SO sorry for your loss! Cannot even begin to comprehend your grief and sadness for your loss, to say the least, I can only imagine the intense pain you all most be dealing with right now. Since my move from Medicine Hat, resulted in my unintentional loss of contact with friends, I must say my own experiences with Tyson was always of a positive, happy-go-lucky, involved, inquisitive student always wearing his ever present smile. My very deepest condolences, with my thoughts & prayers absolutely being with you during this time of your sorrow & loss! Way too young … the world will be less without Tyson …
