In memory of
John Bosch
June 11, 1918 - December 24, 2020 - Age 102

We are very saddened to announce our dad’s earthly journey is now complete. He went to meet His Heavenly Father on December 24, 2020 at the age of 102 years. John Joseph Bosch is lovingly remembered by his wife of 77 years, Veronica (Koenig). Left to cherish his memory are his children, Eleanor (Philip) Getz, Dianna (Harvey) Frey, Bernice (Jim) Foley, Shirley (Brian ) Mutschler, Raymond (Dianne) Bosch, Albert (Wendy) Bosch, Janet Brost, Larry (Carrie) Bosch; twenty two grandchildren, thirty three great grandchildren, eight great great grandchildren and his brother Tony. He was predeceased by his parents Philip and Catherine (Ries) Bosch, sisters, Rose (Nick) Schafer, and Gertrude ‘Gertie’ (Tony) Bosch; brothers, Frank (Lena, Rita), Joe (Ruth) and Raphael and three brothers and a sister who died in infancy; one son-in-law Wayne Brost, a grandson Craig Getz, a great granddaughter Addison Foley and great great granddaughter Ariel Shorr. John was born at the family homestead at Rosenthal, Saskatchewan. The second oldest of eleven children. Together Mom and dad raised eight children on the farm at Golden Prairie, Saskatchewan. Dad was a hard worker, a farmer all his working life. In 1977, Mom and Dad retired to Medicine Hat. In 2009, Meadowlands became their new home, and in 2019 they moved into the Good Samaritan, where we continued to gather as a family celebrating special occasions. The family gives heart felt thanks to all the nurses and doctors at the hospital on 4 West and St. Joseph’s Home for all the compassionate care they provided for our dad. Those who wish to pay their respects may do so at the PATTISON FUNERAL HOME on Tuesday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. (Masks are mandatory). Message from Raymond (Marilyn) Schafer, Calgary, AB December 29, 2020
My mother, Katie Bosch Schafer wants to express her condolences to the family. She and John were almost the same age, and she would always "kid" him that she was 6 months younger (must be the Bosch genes). John (and Reva) were very friendly and caring people. Personally, I am very sorry about the loss for the family. Everyone knows that having parents who lived over 100 yrs. are blessed with their longevity for life. John has left a remarkable legacy for the whole family to aspire too. May his soul rest in peace.

Message from Harley and Kathleen Phillips December 29, 2020
Our thoughts and prayers are with Auntie Reva and our cousins. It seems like it was yesterday that we celebrated his 100th birthday. How fortunate you were to have him with you not only for another two and a half years but fully cognitive as well. Harley and I came to see him when he turned 101 and had an enjoyable but loud visit as one of his hearing aides was getting repaired. We will have a mass said for him. God bless you

Dear Aunt Veronica. Thinking of you and your family at this difficult time with deepest sympathy. May the precious memories you all share give you great comfort. We always enjoyed watching Uncle John dance the traditional (old-time) polka - so smoothly done. Those were the days. Wonderful memories. May the Lord support and comfort you. With our love and prayers.
