In memory of
John Brunner
January 01, 1929 - November 27, 2018 - Age 89

John Brunner passed away on Tuesday, November 27, 2018, at the age of 89 years, beloved husband of Marg Brunner of Burstall, Saskatchewan. He also leaves to cherish his memory their nephew, John Schlepp (Gaye Corbin); and their nieces, Elaine (Steve) Hull and Judy (Allan) Hirsch. He was predeceased by his parents, Emma and John Brunner Sr; his sisters, Esther in childhood, Elsie (Emil) Stabler and Lenora (Reiny) Schlepp. John was born on the family farm North of Burstall on January 1, 1929, living his entire life within three miles of Burstall. On October 14, 1980, he married Marg Krossa in Leader, Saskatchewan, and they enjoyed 38 years together. John loved life, hunting, fishing and being outdoors; his passion was working with horses on the ranch and riding. He volunteered in his community serving on the Burstall Town Council and R.M. of Deerforks. Believing every child should know how to handle and respect a firearm, he taught hunter education programs for 40 years. Family and friends who wish to pay their respects may do so at the hall on Monday, from 12:00 p.m. to 12:55 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the Burstall Community Hall (951 Railway Ave) on Monday, December 3, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. C.S.T. with Rev. Message from Tom White November 30, 2018

Our sincerest condolences for your loss.
As a teenager I recall an incident when little Johnny and I had been partying too hearty and Uncle Johnny took us out to the sandhills for an exhilarating Jeep ride.
Uncle Johnny and Marg always had time for a chat whenever they visited my parents.
Rest In Peace Uncle Johnny you will be missed......Tom & Jean White

Message from Llyle Eslinger November 30, 2018

My condolences to the family. I knew Johnny well when I grew up in Burstall. He was my mom's cousin and worked with my dad in the elevator business. He was a big help and friend to my dad. He was a very kind man and loved the outdoors and sports. He taught me how to handle firearms as well as baseball and curling which he loved. Best of all I loved the Sunday picnics when Johnny and the Schlepp family would invite me along to go boating on the South Sask. River where we would fish and water ski behind Johnny's boat and enjoy a sunny afternoon on the river.
Yours Sincerely
