In memory of
Elizabeth 'Betty' Helen Dillman
August 10, 1926 - October 01, 2017 - Age 91

Elizabeth “Betty” Dillman, age 91, passed away peacefully on October 1, 2017 at the Sunnyview Care Centre in Medicine Hat, Alberta. Betty is survived and will always be loved and remembered by her husband of 70 years, Ralph and by her children, Rose Marie (Allan) Jones, James (Sandra), Philip (Karen), and Thomas; grandchildren, Sherry (Blair), Laura (Matt), Martha (Denis), Aaron (Lindsey), Cori Lynn and great grandchildren, Ashley, Kyle, Chris, Liam, Carmen, Nina, Sydney, Bailee, Riane, and Taylor. Betty was the last surviving member of the Philip and Flora Tumbach family. Over the years, she was predeceased by both parents; brothers, Peter and John and sisters, Monica and Katherine. Betty was a person who was immensely devoted to caring for and helping everyone, especially family. Before poor health took its toll, outside of taking care of family, Betty enjoyed the simple things like cooking, crocheting, and gardening. Betty’s meals were always delicious, and her afghan quilts and proceeds from the garden were always welcome. Special thanks needs to be given to the staff at Sunnyside Care Centre and Sunnyview Care Centre for the compassion shown and the impeccable care given. Family and friends who wish to pay their respects may do so at the church on Thursday, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:25 a.m. The funeral mass will be celebrated in St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church (238 2nd Ave N.E.) on Thursday, October 5, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. with Fr. John Maes celebrant. Interment will follow in the Hillside Cemetery.
