It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Stephan (Steve) Marshall Stecher of Medicine Hat on Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at the age of 36 years. Steve’s memory will be cherished by Ashley Dupras, step-son Brody and their daughter Hally. Mother, Leslie Stecher; his brother, Jeremy Stecher and sister, Abigail (Jeffery) Boivin as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Al Stecher and brother, David Swain. Family meant everything to Steve and being a father was his greatest honour. He will forever be loved and missed. Angels on your pillows, sweet dreams. Love you. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a private funeral service will be held in the PATTISON CHAPEL on  (NOTE CHANGE IN DAY FOR SERVICE) Thursday, April 1, 2021 at 10:30 a.m with Life Celebrant, Pat Grisonich. You are invited to remotely attend the funeral service by searching for the Pattison Funeral Home youtube page where the video will go live 10 minutes prior to service time. Steve hung around in his teen years with both my Daughters, Shea and Maggie Painter.
Some how the lil' sh#t wormed his way into my heart! I really like Steve and he was also so very respectful towards us. As per Facebook, I watched Hally grow and Steve sure seemed to idolize her and he appeared to be an awesome Dad. I Can't even imagine what wee Hally is going through at the tender age of 7? I hope his memory is kept alive for her. Soar high Steve.

Ran into Steve this past fall in Fort McMurray and was so nice to see him and have a quick chat. Invited him over for a bbq sometime but never did get the chance. The world will miss your bright smile Steve. Keep on shining up there.
